Heywood Healthcare is seeking a Facilities Director to lead the facilities team, oversee daily operations and capital budgets, and ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards.

The role requires strong leadership, experience managing contractors, and in-depth knowledge of building codes. This position is based in Massachusetts and involves coordinating multiple projects to maintain hospital operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum five years of supervisory/management experience, including management of third party contractors.
• Knowledge of building codes, including federal, state and local.
• Knowledge of construction, engineering and Joint Commission/CMS standards.
• Competence with computers and technology; reading maps, blueprints and specs.

Responsibilities

• Directs, manages and schedules the facilities team; define goals and coach staff.
• Develop effective work teams and motivate to meet objectives.
• Prioritize daily operations and project work for facilities.
• Develop and manage budgets; report variances to COO.
• Propose improvements to gain efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Ensure work orders are entered and resolved; feedback provided.
