Job summary

STI in Newark, NJ is seeking a Facilities & Physical Security Supervisor to oversee building infrastructure and security operations, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient facilities. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Criminal Justice or related field.
Minimum of three years’ experience with physical security systems (alarm systems, card access, key control).
Ability to pass a police background check.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
Strong verbal and written communication, organizational and project-management skills.
Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

Oversees facilities infrastructure, including building systems and preventative maintenance.
Supervises a team of technicians, providing guidance and training.
Develops maintenance plans, schedules, and basic budgets.
Develops and implements physical security programs to protect facilities and assets.
Oversees card access, key control, and alarm systems installation, administration, and operation.
Investigates false alarms and recommends corrective actions.
Reviews blueprints for new/renovated facilities and provides security recommendations.
Ensures compliance with security policies and standards.
