Job summary

Es Vedra Cinemas seeks a Facilities Manager to oversee upkeep, maintenance, and cleanliness of venues. The role includes repairing games and equipment, landscaping, and janitorial work to ensure smooth operations.

Candidate should be proactive with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to coordinate with contractors and internal teams. Evening/weekend availability may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational training in facilities management preferred.
• State alcohol-server certification and ServSafe certification required.
• Proven experience in facilities management or related field.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular venue inspections to identify maintenance needs and prioritize tasks.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on games, equipment, and facility systems.
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs and maintenance.
• Manage janitorial staff and cleaning schedules to ensure cleanliness standards.
• Maintain landscaping, lawn care, and snow removal to keep venues inviting.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to reduce downtime.
• Monitor inventory levels of maintenance supplies and reorder as needed.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards; address issues promptly.
• Collaborate with department heads to coordinate facility-related activities.

Job Description

The Facilities Manager at Es Vedra Cinemas oversees the upkeep, maintenance, and cleanliness of our venues. The Facilities Manager will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, from repairing games and equipment to landscaping and janitorial work. This role requires a proactive approach, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to ensuring the smooth operation of our venues.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of the venue to identify maintenance and repair needs, prioritizing tasks to ensure minimal disruption to operations.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on games, equipment, and facility infrastructure, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and maintenance as needed, ensuring timely and cost-effective solutions.
• Manage the facility's janitorial team members, overseeing cleaning schedules and ensuring cleanliness standards are met throughout the venue.
• Maintain the facility's landscaping, including lawn care, gardening, and snow removal, to create a welcoming and visually appealing environment.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to extend the lifespan of equipment and minimize downtime.
• Monitor inventory levels for maintenance supplies and equipment, ordering replenishments as needed to ensure availability for ongoing operations.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards, conducting regular inspections and addressing any issues promptly.
• Collaborate with other department heads to coordinate facility-related activities and support overall operational goals.
• Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Required Skills

• Strong technical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of equipment and systems.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with staff, vendors, and contractors.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification or vocational training in facilities management or related field preferred.
• Required state alcohol-server and Manager ServSafe Certification required.
• Proven experience in facilities management or a similar role, with a strong understanding of maintenance and repair procedures.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, climbing stairs
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
• Comfortable with flashing lights & loud noises.
