Job summary

EMCOR Facilities Services is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee a geographically dispersed portfolio of facilities, ensuring safety, compliance, and reliable operations. Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 7+ years of multi-site facilities management or similar leadership experience preferred.
  • OSHA 10/30-Hour certification and valid driver's license.
  • Ability to read, write, and present safety policies, procedures, and maintenance specs.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees implementation and manages an effective maintenance management strategy.
  • Organizes workload for day-to-day activities, emergencies, and special projects using CMMS; ensures KPIs are met.
  • Manages all financials including monthly billing, expenses, POs, capital forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Ensures facilities comply with industry standards and safety requirements; conducts inspections and audits.
  • Identifies deficiencies and informs Customer of status of maintenance and repairs.
  • Investigates and implements cost-saving projects, improving quality and compliance.
  • Promotes safety culture and maintains positive relationships with associates and Customers.
  • Oversees and coordinates on-site vendor activities inside and outside normal hours.

Job description

From commercial office space and manufacturing to multi-site retail portfolios, we manage and support over 1 billion square feet of facilities space for the nation’s leading organizations. We provide comprehensive facility services ranging from mechanical maintenance and self-performed, site-based operations to energy-efficiency upgrades and supplier-managed interior/exterior maintenance.

The Facilities Manager is responsible for the overall management, performance, safety, and reliability of a geographically dispersed portfolio of facilities. This role serves as the primary operational liaison between the client, internal stakeholders, maintenance personnel, and third-party service providers to ensure facilities are maintained in a safe, compliant, cost-effective, and operationally efficient manner.

The Multi-Site Facilities Manager ensures maximum operational success by leading maintenance programs, managing service providers, overseeing remote facility operations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The position is responsible for ensuring all work is performed safely, effectively, and properly documented in accordance with OSHA requirements, client standards, and company policies.

This role requires strong communication, supplier management, financial acumen, and the ability to collaborate effectively with client representatives and cross-functional teams including Operations, Finance, Procurement, and Field Operations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversees implementation and manages an effective maintenance management strategy.
  • Organizes workload to manage normal day-to-day activities, emergency assignments, and special projects (both Company and Customer), utilizing CMMS. To ensure all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and performance objectives are completed to satisfaction.
  • Manages all financials, including, but not limited to, monthly billing statements, expense forms, purchase orders, capital forecasting, and budget.
  • Ensures facilities are maintained in accordance with established industry standards, evaluating physical building, assets, equipment, and processes for compliance within those standards.
  • Identifies deficiencies through regular and thorough inspections and audits of building premises, and ensure Customer is informed about the status of maintenance, requests, and repairs in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Investigates, develops, and implements projects, processes, or activities to reduce or contain costs, increase quality levels and meet or exceed standards. Utilizes technical competencies, relevant work experience, and comprehensive / diverse facilities engineering knowledge to generate creative solutions.
  • Promotes commitments to environmental health and safety by adhering to safety practices, investigating concerns, making recommendations, and implementing safety controls.
  • Fosters a positive work environment with associates and Customer. For associates, trains, mentors, manages the review process, and engages in associates’ development. For Customer, develops and maintains a positive relationship that supports open dialogue.
  • Oversees and accompanies all vendors on site for any and all work performed during normal work hours or outside normal work hours as needed.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Business Experience
  • (prior year’s work/related experience)
  • Minimum of 7 years of multi-site facilities management, field operations, or account leadership experience, preferably supporting branch banking or other customer-facing portfolios.
  • Licenses/Certifications
  • OSHA 10-Hour and/or 30-Hour card (Training is offered after hire). Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Language Skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, including, but not limited to, safety policies, procedure manuals, and maintenance specifications. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in individual and small group situations.
  • Technical Qualifications & Skills
  • Requires experience with MS Word, MS Excel, email, and CMMS
  • Physical Demands
  • Frequent office environment work requiring sitting, using phone and computer. May be required to walk extensively throughout retail banking locations, mechanical spaces, rooftops, parking areas, and grounds during inspections and assessments. Occasionally required to climb ladders, ascend or descend stairs, crouch, kneel, bend, or reach when evaluating facility conditions, equipment, or maintenance activities. May occasionally be required to lift, carry, push, or pull materials, equipment, or supplies weighing up to 25 pounds. Must be able to respond to emergency situations, which may require extended periods of standing, walking, or travel. Ability to safely access active construction, maintenance, and equipment areas while adhering to all safety requirements and personal protective equipment (PPE) standards.
  • Work Environment
  • This position is primarily office-based and supports a geographically dispersed portfolio of retail banking and/or administrative facilities. Daily responsibilities involve extensive use of computers, telephones, video conferencing, CMMS platforms, and other business systems to coordinate maintenance, vendor management, financial administration, and client communications.
  • Periodic travel may be required to conduct site inspections, support operational initiatives, participate in client meetings, oversee projects, perform audits, and evaluate vendor performance. Site visits may include exposure to active construction, maintenance, and repair activities, requiring adherence to all applicable safety procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
