Job summary

Infinity Systems Engineering Llc is seeking a Facilities Manager to support day-to-day operations at Kirtland AFB in Albuquerque, NM. You will coordinate maintenance, inspections, safety, and compliance, while maintaining records and overseeing contractor activities to ensure mission readiness.

Ideal candidates have TS/SCI eligibility and experience with DoD/AF facility management, hazardous materials, and safety programs.

  • 3+ years of experience in facility management, facility operations and maintenance, safety, or related mission-support work.
  • Must possess a Top Secret (TS) clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility.
  • Experience coordinating facility maintenance, inspections, work requests, repairs, and contractor support.
  • Knowledge of facility safety, hazard identification, hazard abatement, and compliance requirements.

Job Summary

Facility Manager supports the day-to-day operation, maintenance, safety, compliance, and mission readiness of facilities and supporting infrastructure at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This role is responsible for coordinating facility maintenance activities, work requests, inspections, preventive and corrective maintenance, facility records, contractor and service-provider activities, and facility-related safety and compliance requirements. The Facility Manager also serves in designated program and collateral-duty roles supporting fuel tank management, chemical hygiene, hazard communication, and unit safety programs. The ideal candidate has experience with DoD or Air Force facility management processes, facility operations and maintenance, safety and environmental compliance, hazardous materials, and mission-critical infrastructure in a regulated or government environment.

Key Responsibilities

Facility Management:

  • Manage day-to-day facility operations, maintenance, inspections, work requests, and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance with Government personnel, contractors, vendors, and installation organizations.
  • Maintain facility records, inspection documentation, work orders, equipment inventories, and compliance records.
  • Monitor facility conditions and identify deficiencies, safety hazards, and mission impacts.
  • Coordinate facility access, repairs, inspections, testing, certifications, and emergency response activities.
  • Support Government inspections, audits, facility assessments, and corrective-action tracking.
  • Ensure facility activities comply with applicable Air Force, DoD, OSHA, environmental, safety, and installation requirements.

Fuel Tank Custodian:

  • Serve as Fuel Tank Custodian in accordance with applicable 377 Mission Support Group training requirements.
  • Maintain required training, inspections, records, and documentation for assigned fuel systems.
  • Coordinate fuel tank inspections, maintenance, testing, and corrective actions.
  • Identify and report leaks, deficiencies, spills, and other fuel-system safety or environmental concerns.

Chemical Hygiene and Hazard Communication:

  • Serve as Chemical Hygiene Officer in accordance with AFI 90-821 and applicable installation requirements.
  • Support chemical inventories, SDS management, labeling, training, hazard controls, and required program documentation.
  • Administer the Hazard Communication Program in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.1200 and applicable Air Force requirements.
  • Coordinate required Hazard Communication training and maintain the written program and supporting records.
  • Support inspections, audits, and corrective actions related to chemical safety and hazardous materials.

Unit Safety Representative:

  • Serve as Unit Safety Representative in accordance with AFI 91-202 and DAFI 91-202, including applicable supplements and installation requirements.
  • Completerequired USR training and support unit safety program requirements.
  • Conduct safety inspections and assist with hazard identification, reporting, abatement, and corrective actions.
  • Support JHAs, JSTOs, mishap reporting, safety training, and coordination with the installation safety office.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in STEM, or a related field required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in facility management, facility operations and maintenance, safety, infrastructure support, or related mission-support work.
  • Clearance:Must possess a Top Secret (TS) clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility.
  • Experience coordinating facility maintenance, inspections, work requests, repairs, and contractor support.
  • Knowledge of facility safety, hazard identification, hazard abatement, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience supporting hazardous material, chemical safety, and Hazard Communication programs.
  • Knowledge of 29 CFR 1910.1200 and AFI 90-821 requirements.
  • Ability to perform Fuel Tank Custodian responsibilities and maintain required training and documentation.
  • Ability to serve as a Unit Safety Representative in accordance with AFI 91-202 and DAFI 91-202.
  • Strong documentation, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with Government personnel, contractors, vendors, safety, environmental, and installation organizations.
  • Preferred Skills:
  • Experience supporting facility management at a DoD or Air Force installation.
  • Experience supporting Kirtland AFB or other Air Force installation organizations.
  • Experience as a Facility Manager, Facility Operations Manager, or Facility Management Specialist.
  • Experience as a Fuel Tank Custodian, Chemical Hygiene Officer, Hazard Communication Program Manager, or Unit Safety Representative.
  • Familiarity with DAFI 91-202, AFI 91-202, AFI 90-821, and 29 CFR 1910.1200.
  • Experience supporting Government inspections, audits, safety assessments, or regulatory compliance reviews.
  • Experience with facility work-order, asset-management, or Government facility-management systems.
  • Experience supporting mission-critical facilities or 24/7 operations.
Physical Requirements
  • Primarily office-based, with lab and manufacturing facility visits.
  • May require lifting of up to 25 pounds.
  • May require occasional travel to manufacturing sites or client locations.
Work Schedule

This is a full-time position, typically working 40 hours per week. Overtime may be required depending on operational needs.
