Job Description

Schaeffer Manufacturing is looking for a Maintenance Technician/Supervisor for its St. Louis plant and office buildings.

Responsibilities

• Manage maintenance and custodial staff
• Monitor safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas
• Contract with and inspect janitorial services
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and landscaping
• Schedule repairs with outside vendors
• Maintain security systems and collaborate with security vendors
• Create reports on maintenance, repairs, safety, and other occurrences
• Prepare facilities for changing weather conditions
• Collaborate on budgeting and efficiency improvements

Requirements

• Advanced knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and building systems
• Experience with boilers and certification or willingness to obtain it
• Proficiency with repair tools and techniques
• Ability to drive between locations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong time management, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Physical ability to perform maintenance tasks
• Ability to write reports using Microsoft Suite

Shift

7:00 am - 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday
