Job summary

Eden Christian Academy in Sewickley, PA is seeking a Facilities and Maintenance Assistant to support upkeep, custodial work, and transportation. This full-time role follows a Monday–Friday schedule, with occasional evenings or weekends as needed.

You will work under the Director of Maintenance to maintain Eden buildings and grounds across multiple campuses. The position requires 3–5 years in facilities management or custodial work, a high school diploma or GED, and clearances.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years experience in facilities management, contracting, or custodial work.
• Clearances (FBI/Act 114/151/34) dated within one year are required.
• Exemplary written and spoken communication skills.
• Active Christian faith and church involvement preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist in upkeep of Eden buildings and grounds.
• Assist in planned maintenance and repairs per Director of Maintenance.
• Support facilities upgrades, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs.
• Assist with salting and shoveling sidewalks during winter.
• Maintain grounds including lawn care and landscaping for Eden properties.
• Maintain custodial supplies and assist in workflow across campuses.
• Maintain records of receipts, vehicle usage, and project costs.
• Communicate through the Maintenance ticketing system with staff and leadership.
• Set up and tear down for school and community events.
• Other duties as assigned by the Director of Maintenance.
