Job summary

Yoh is seeking a Facilities Management Support Associate for an onsite role in Pittsfield, MA. This 6-month contract position requires performing a range of maintenance tasks including painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and related work.

The role involves coordinating conference room setups, training new staff, and assisting with work orders, scheduling, and life-safety systems. Minimum 4 years in facilities maintenance with strong teamwork skills are expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4-year previous facilities maintenance/janitorial/engineering experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to function as a team member in a demanding service environment.
• Ability to handle multiple projects.
• Some knowledge of computers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs day-to-day repair work on building structures (painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, masonry, roofing).
• Repairs and installs furniture/equipment; installs floor coverings, acoustical ceilings, and window glass; repairs roofs, floors, doors, locks, and related items.
• Coordinate conference room setups and take lead role in training of new employees.
• Performs electrical repairs such as replacing switches and minor wiring; repairs kitchen equipment; repairs faucets, sewers, plumbing, and minor HVAC equipment.
• Monitors operation of the mechanical/electrical operating equipment.
• Assist facility manager with work order processing.
• Assist in the scheduling of repairs.
• Operate life safety/fires systems.
• Assist Mechanics with preventive maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Respond to emergencies.
