Job summary

Simon Property Group is seeking a part-time Maintenance Worker at Rio Grande Valley Premium Outlets in Mercedes, TX. You will troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and structural systems across the mall complex.

The role requires 2-3 years of building maintenance experience and the ability to read schematics, with lifting up to 50 pounds and willingness to work various shifts, including weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred; technical school certifications a plus.
• 2-3 years building maintenance experience including carpentry, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing.
• Ability to read and interpret documents, plans and schematic drawings.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; able to work days, evenings, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Inspect facility and troubleshoot repairs to mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing systems and structural elements.
• Perform maintenance and minor repairs on interior/exterior areas (painting, drywall, lighting, etc.).
• Operate equipment for preventive maintenance and keep maintenance logs.
• Assist other departments for events and leasing needs; ensure safety compliance per OSHA.
