Job summary

Flowers Foods, Inc. in Savannah, GA seeks a Facilities Maintenance Technician I to maintain and repair bakery facility systems, including boilers and HVAC, while following safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in building maintenance or as a technician in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, welding, electrical, industrial equipment, automotive repairs, or related field.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical/Trade School certification or diploma a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot facility/infrastructure systems including boilers, HVAC, and cooling systems.
• Perform minor facility repairs and general maintenance (insulation, plumbing, electrical, lighting, carpentry, painting).
• Maintain vendor relationships for general facility maintenance.
• Oversee all building and grounds upkeep (sprinkler system and fire suppression).
• Use SAP software for parts checkout, reporting, and data entry.
• Follow environmental and maintenance programs.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment.
• Comply with company policies and procedures (EEO, Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes-Oxley).
• Perform other duties as deemed by management, including shifts and attendance.
• Possess or attain licenses required to work with boilers and refrigeration components.

Bringing Home the Dough

Facilities Maintenance Technicians support and maintain the facility/infrastructure systems by ensuring they remain in optimal working condition with safety and quality standards being a top priority. They must possess a technical mindset and demonstrate strong mechanical capabilities, while being flexible and adaptable as they will be required to rotate job assignments throughout various areas in and outside of the bakery. Facility Maintenance Technicians must have the aptitude and drive to seek and acquire on-going training due to ever evolving technological improvements and performance standards.

Rising to the Challenge: Position Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot all facility/infrastructure systems, including but not limited to boilers, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (as applicable), and facility process cooling systems
• Perform minor facility repairs and general maintenance for insulation, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and overall building needs, including but not limited to minor carpentry work and painting
• Maintain vendor relationships for general facility maintenance
• Oversee all building and grounds upkeep, including but not limited to sprinkler system and fire suppression system
• Use SAP software for parts checkout, reporting, and general data entry
• Practice learned knowledge of environmental and maintenance programs
• Maintain clean and safe work environment
• Practice and comply with all Company policies and procedures (EEO, Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.)
• Perform other duties which are deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies and procedures
• Possess or attain licenses required by their respective municipal, county/ward or state regulatory agencies to work with boilers, refrigeration components and various other job-related equipment

Salary Range- $30.35 hourly
