Job summary

Brownandrootexternal is seeking a reliable janitorial staff member to maintain clean, orderly facilities. The role includes floors, hallways, stairs, rugs, and glass cleaning, plus basic maintenance tasks as needed.

You will follow safety procedures, use protective equipment, and handle restroom services, trash disposal, and lightweight maintenance. Experience is helpful but training is available; physical stamina is important for daily duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Ability to follow established cleaning procedures and supervision.
• Reliability and willingness to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Monitor building security and safety by locking doors after hours and checking electrical use.
• Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
• Gather and empty trash.
• Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Follow chemical and equipment safety procedures.
• Prepare cleaning solutions and mix chemicals per specifications.
• Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
• Notify management about major repairs or needs.
• Requisition supplies and equipment as needed.
• Clean windows, partitions, and mirrors.
