Job summary

Morristown-Hamblen Healthcare System is seeking a Facility Services Technician for a part-time, day-shift role at the Morristown campus. The technician will perform maintenance tasks, respond to work orders, and ensure facility operations meet safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of building/plant maintenance experience or related trade school certification. Valid Tennessee driver’s license and insurance are required, with local travel as needed.

Qualifications

• One (1) year experience in building/plant maintenance operations, construction, or with a mechanical or electrical contractor, or graduate with certification from a trade school in a maintenance related field.
• Preference may be given to individuals graduating from a trade or vocational school.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily work order assignments.
• Use construction equipment and hand tools to perform maintenance tasks.
• Install acoustical ceilings, metal stud walls, sheetrock and millwork, and perform painting and lighting work.
• Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC, boilers, and related equipment.
• Inspect facilities and ensure compliance with engineering specs and local codes.
• Maintain documentation and records of all work performed.
• Local travel to sites as required.
• Follow safety policies and participate in quality initiatives.
