Job summary

Wright’s Dairy Farm & Bakery is seeking a dependable Maintenance & Janitorial Technician to keep facilities, equipment, and spaces clean, safe, and operating properly. The role blends cleaning with routine maintenance, minor repairs, groundskeeping, and vendor coordination across bakery, creamery, retail store, and production areas.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in maintenance or janitorial roles, a valid driver’s license, and forklift certification or willingness to obtain training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Two or more years of maintenance, facilities, janitorial, or related experience.
• Experience completing basic repairs and troubleshooting maintenance concerns.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Forklift certification or willingness to complete training.
• OSHA or safety training preferred but not required.
• Basic computer and email skills.
• Ability to manage changing priorities and work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.
• Clear communication and professional follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, staff areas, public spaces, production areas, retail floors, and cooler floors.
• Mop floors, sanitize high-touch surfaces, empty trash and recycling, and assist with deep-cleaning projects.
• Maintain supplies and storage areas clean and stocked.
• Keep receiving, storage, waste, and back-of-house areas organized.
• Inspect facilities and equipment for maintenance needs and safety concerns.
• Complete basic repairs involving lights, doors, plumbing hardware, and fixtures.
• Maintain and test the emergency backup generator.
• Coordinate with vendors for HVAC, refrigeration, pest control, and landscaping.
• Unload deliveries and assist with waste management as needed.
