Job summary

A local library in Spartanburg, SC is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Assistant to conduct general maintenance and repair tasks. Qualifications

• Any combination of education and experience equivalent to high school graduation and experience in building maintenance.
• Must be able to lift 70 pounds occasionally and 50 pounds frequently.
• Must pass pre-employment testing.

Responsibilities

• Conducts general building and facilities maintenance activities.
• Maintains, repairs, and installs building related systems.
• Performs periodic preventive maintenance work.
• Completes painting projects and drywall repair.
• Substitutes in absence of other staff for courier routes or other duties.
