American Repair Maintenance (ARM) is seeking a full-time Facilities Maintenance Technician in Madison, WI. You will deliver top-tier commercial maintenance and customer service, reporting to a Territory Field Supervisor.

The role suits a self-starter who enjoys travel, variety, autonomy, and joining a growing, values-driven team. Requirements include 5+ years in commercial maintenance across trades, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

5+ years of commercial maintenance experience in plumbing, electrical, drywalling, carpentry, and flooring.
High school diploma or equivalent vocational certification(s).
Capable of reading assembly drawings and blueprints to deliver quality service.

Responsibilities

Complete service tickets in designated territory with cost-conscious, high-quality, timely execution.
Maintain clear communication with leads, supervisors, and office staff; document progress.
Follow policies for safe, proper work conditions and adapt to a flexible schedule including on-call nights and weekends.
Drive 500–2000 miles per week to client sites with own tools and vehicle capacity.

Who You Are

We are currently searching for a full-time Facilities Maintenance Technician, reporting to a Territory Field Supervisor, to add to our service delivery team to deliver the highest standard of commercial maintenance and customer service to our clients. This is a perfect opportunity for a passionate, skilled commercial technician who is a detail-oriented, self-starter who enjoys travel, variety, autonomy, and being a part of a supportive, growing company.

Utilize your 5+ years of commercial maintenance experience in plumbing, electrical, drywalling, carpentry, and flooring in addition to your high school diploma or equivalent vocational certification(s), proven mechanical aptitude, and proficiency in reading assembly and blueprint drawings to deliver exceptional service to our customers with minimal direct supervision.
Be the eyes and ears in the field, responsible for successfully completing service tickets in a designated territory in a cost conscience, high-quality, timely manner.
Maintain clear lines of professional communication with lead technician(s), field supervisor(s), field Manager(s), and office staff on open issues and progress of all work assigned including thorough documentation.
Be flexible and cooperative with fellow employees and customers while displaying a high level of professionalism.
Follow all policies and procedures to ensure proper and safe working conditions.
With paid mileage reimbursement, drive up to 500-2000 miles per week to client sites.
Meet the demands of a flexible and adaptable schedule, including on-call, overnight, and weekend availability; some assignments may require short overnight travel (1–4 nights).
Provide your own reliable transportation with capacity to transport tools and equipment (e.g. 16 ft., ladder, sheet rock, sewer machine), valid driver’s license, hand tools, and toolbox suitable for the job (a list of those recommended will be provided).
Comfortable and proficient with technology, including the use of industry-specific software, mobile applications, and digital tools to complete work orders, communicate with team members, and document service activities.
Be able to lift equipment weighing up to 75 pounds; operating appropriate tools capable of producing up to 200 pounds of torque.
