Job description

P1 Service, LLC., is seeking a Maintenance Technician to work at Saint Luke's Health System in Kansas City, Missouri.

This is an Entry Level position. Must be able to work weekends, evenings and holidays.

Position Summary & Nature of Work:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing maintenance functions at Saint Luke's Health Systems locations. This work includes, but is not limited to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and refrigeration. They will be responsible for responding to maintenance calls and conducting regular inspections within their scope of work. Maintenance Technicians also have the responsibility to maintain professional relationships with Saint Luke's Health System leads and staff.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Respond to emergency maintenance calls and perform necessary repair work, which may include temporary repairs sufficient to secure the systems and facilities until permanent repairs are feasible; notify appropriate personnel if further action is required; log all calls received and document the action taken. Maintain records in CMMS of work done, materials, services and assists crew of maintenance workers in the maintenance and repair of buildings and equipment. English language fluency is required to effectively perform essential job functions including customer consultations, team collaboration, and documentation
  • Identify best case solutions and practice reasonable problem solving for routine maintenance issues.
  • Follows point-by-point troubleshooting guides to quickly identify faults.
  • Use proper tools and instruments for troubleshooting.
  • Interpret engineering drawings in reference to layout, location and operation of the system(s).
  • Proactively and reactively respond to requests for service.
  • Proactively provide exemplary customer service at every opportunity, ensuring clear communication and process updates.
  • Perform all work in accordance with the established code and safety procedures.
  • Ongoing learning: keep technical knowledge up to date regarding equipment and concepts.
  • Maintain professional affiliations to improve efficiency and technical knowledge.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position and may include on-call hours.

Required Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Background check and drug screen clearance
  • Basic computer skills
  • Basic reading comprehension
  • Basic mathematical skills
Preferred Education and Experience
  • 0-3 years work experience
  • Technical skills including blueprint reading
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
  • EPA 608 Universal Certification is required within 90 days of hire.
