Job summary

Kendall Cadillac in Fairbanks, AK is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position involves a variety of semi-skilled tasks around the dealership and property, with limited supervision and a valid driver license required.

You will perform electrical, plumbing and structural maintenance, handle preventive tasks like caulking and window repairs, and assist HR with monthly safety inspections.

Qualifications

• A valid driver's license and clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting and addressing minor maintenance problems involving electrical, structural and plumbing resulting in equipment repair and/or replacement.
• Preventive maintenance will include caulking doors/windows and replacing damaged windows.
• Electrical maintenance includes changing light bulbs, repairing ballast and repairing light fixtures.
• Plumbing maintenance includes unclogging toilets/urinals and sinks, fixing water leaks and repairing water fountains.
• Structural maintenance to include painting interior/exterior walls and assembling or moving furniture.
• This job role also assists Kendall HR with safety compliance-monthly inspections of fire extinguishers, eye wash stations, first aid kits and overall compliance in shop area.

Because this position has limited supervision, we are looking for candidates who are driven and do well working independently.

In this position you will perform a variety of semi-skilled tasks throughout the dealership and surrounding property. A valid driver license and good driving record is required.

Working conditions for this position are varied, work will be performed indoors and outdoors equally depending on tasks. Occasional lifting up to 50lbs, frequent body motion including bending, stooping, crouching, stretching, and reaching required. Occasionally will work with others to lift or move other heavy objects.
