Suncast Corporation in Batavia, IL, is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team of industrial manufacturers. You will perform carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and metal work, leading less experienced technicians when needed and ensuring safety standards are followed.
Ideal candidates will have high school education or equivalent and technical training in trades, with the ability to read blueprints, use hand and power tools, and communicate in English.

Due to continued expansion, Suncast Corporation is hiring experienced Facilities Maintenance Technicians. This position is a long-term growth opportunity for an ambitious, career-minded Equipment Maintenance Technician interested in a career with a major manufacturer of consumer products.
The Facilities Maintenance Technician must be fully capable of facilities maintenance and be skilled in related trades such as sheet metal work, welding, carpentry, electrical systems, plumbing, and basic HVAC. This employee must be extremely versatile and capable of working with minimum supervision. In addition, he or she may lead other maintenance technicians to complete complex tasks.

This is a physically active position in a manufacturing facility. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, stoop, or kneel. This employee is also expected to communicate effectively with others and to use active listening skills. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. He or she will be required to work 25 feet in the air on scaffolding or high lifts. He or she will occasionally work in confined areas. Vision ability requirements for this job include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception. This is a full-time position. Due to fluctuations in production schedules, this employee may be required to work additional hours to meet additional demands.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be in a manufacturing facility. This will have seasonal variations in temperature and humidity, most notably in summer. Noise level is moderate for an injection molding facility. This employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. Safety procedures must be followed to avoid the risk of electrical shock. Safety equipment will be worn regularly.
