Job summary

Walmart is seeking a General Facilities Maintenance Technician for our local store to perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs to keep facilities, equipment, and fixtures safe, functional, and presentable.

You will work under the local General Maintenance Manager, following established schedules and using crafts such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and material handling equipment with standard hand and power tools.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Can lift up to 50 lbs. at a time
• Can move up and down ladders frequently
• Comfortable working at heights frequently
• Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
• Able to work in various temperatures
• Must maintain an excellent driving record
• Vocational or Technical certification and 1 year experience, or 2 years total work experience, in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment) and hand/power tools
• Utilize work order management system to receive reactive repair work orders and document repair activities
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues
• Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely
