Job summary

Graham Packaging Company is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician II based in West Hazleton PA for 1st shift (6:30am to 3pm). The role focuses on installation and maintenance of production equipment, with emphasis on compressors, chillers, and cooling towers.

Expect preventative and reactive maintenance, diagnostics, and technician training responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a HS diploma or equivalent, plus an associate degree and multiple years of maintenance experience;

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Two year Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance or related field is preferred. A minimum of five years Industrial Maintenance Technician experience is preferred.
• Ideal candidates would possess solid experience working with compressors, chillers and cooling towers.
• Maintenance Technicians interact with managers, employees, vendors, and customers; essential requirements include attendance, computer usage, communication, ability to work under pressure, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on production equipment and building.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs and scheduled maintenance during machine service.
• Train production employees in proper operation and maintenance of machinery.
• Limited travel may be required.
