  • Monitor facility conditions and identify opportunities for operational improvements, cost savings, and asset preservation.
  • Manage emergency repairs and facility-related issues while minimizing disruption to shop operations.
  • Negotiate and maintain relationships with approved vendors and service providers across assigned markets.
  • Solicit, review, and approve vendor proposals and repair estimates.
  • Manage service contracts and ensure vendors meet established Service Level Agreements (SLAs), quality standards, and budget expectations.
  • Verify contractors maintain appropriate licenses, certifications, and insurance coverage before work is performed.
Construction & Capital Projects
  • Oversee facility renovation, construction, and improvement projects from planning through completion.
  • Ensure all projects are properly permitted and executed in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Coordinate project schedules, budgets, vendor performance, and stakeholder communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor project expenditures to ensure alignment with approved capital expenditure requests and facility budgets.
Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure all facilities comply with applicable building codes, OSHA regulations, fire safety requirements, environmental standards, and company policies.
  • Conduct facility audits and inspections to identify compliance concerns and implement corrective actions.
  • Support risk mitigation efforts through proactive maintenance and safety initiatives.
Lease & Landlord Relations
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with landlords and property management groups throughout lease terms.
  • Coordinate landlord responsibilities for repairs, maintenance obligations, and property improvements in accordance with lease agreements.
  • Review facility-related lease provisions and assist in resolving property-related issues.
  • Monitor repair and maintenance expenses within approved budgets.
  • Evaluate facility spending trends and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency while controlling costs.
  • Ensure funding requests align with lease requirements, approved capital expenditure plans, and maintenance budgets.
Travel

  • Approximately 25% travel required.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Construction Management, Real Estate, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in facilities management, commercial real estate, property management, or a related field.
  • Experience managing multiple facilities or a portfolio of locations across a geographic region.
  • Commercial real estate experience required; retail or multi-site operational experience preferred.
  • Automotive service, collision repair, industrial, or similar service-industry facility experience is highly desirable.
  • Experience utilizing facility management software, work-order systems, or computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Demonstrated experience managing vendors, contractors, and capital improvement projects.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
