Connections Health Solutions in King of Prussia, PA, is hiring a Facilities Maintenance Specialist I to support safe, reliable operations of the healthcare facility. You will perform routine maintenance, respond to service tickets, and coordinate with vendors to keep buildings clean, safe, and well‑maintained while minimizing disruption to patient care.

Full-time, Mon-Fri with duties across carpentry, plumbing, electrical, drywall, and painting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3 years of relevant maintenance experience in building and mechanical equipment.
• Basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, drywall, and painting knowledge.
• Able to read service tickets, coordinate with vendors, and maintain safe facilities.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine maintenance on a rotational basis to keep equipment and facility running smoothly.
• Responds to repair and maintenance tickets submitted by internal departments.
• Operates power and manual tools for cutting, fitting, and assembling.
• Orders medical supplies and reports on inventory status.

• Supervises the food services vendor including performance and timelines.
• Reports Environment of Care concerns via ticketing system for documentation.
• Collaborates with clinical, administrative, and support staff to minimize disruption to patient care.

What You'll Do:

The Facilities Maintenance Specialist I supports the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the company’s facility by performing routine maintenance, repairs, and general facility support. Using a working knowledge of hand and power tools , the position addresses basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting , and mechanical needs; responds promptly to service requests; assists with supplies and vendors; and helps maintain clean, functional, and well-cared-for buildings and grounds.

• Performs routine maintenance on a rotational basis to keep equipment and facility running smoothly.
• Responds to repair and maintenance tickets submitted by internal departments.
• Operates power and manual tools for cutting, fitting, and assembling.
• Orders medical supplies and reports on inventory status.
• Receives and delivers supplies throughout the facility.
• Effectively troubleshoots electrical, mechanical, and process issues in an independent manner.
• Coordinates with external suppliers or contractors for outsourced repairs and completes follows-up on problem resolution.
• Responsible for the supervision of the food services vendor including performance, delivery timelines, and any quality related concerns.
• Reports any Environment of Care concerns via ticketing system for documentation by the Safety Committee.
• Works collaboratively with clinical, administrative, and support staff to coordinate maintenance activities in a healthcare environment, minimize disruptions to patient care and facility operations, and maintain a safe, clean, and respectful environment.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

This position requires you to be available to service our other facility in Harrisburg, PA.

What You'll Bring:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 3 years of relevant work experience in the repair and maintenance of a variety of building and mechanical equipment
• Working knowledge of: Drywall repair, painting, minor plumbing and electrical repairs, shipping and receiving, and door hardware
• The Company has a mandatory vaccination policy. All successful applicants must be fully vaccinated, including showing proper documentation, or otherwise be exempt pursuant to the Company’s exemption process prior to their start date as a condition of employment
• Must have flu shot or exemption requiring masking during company established flu season
• Must pass the following background checks:
  • Child Abuse Clearance
  • FBI Criminal Background Check
  • Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check
  • Medical screenings (physical, TB, and drug test)

It would be great if you had:

• Previous healthcare facility experience
• 2 years of experience performing tasks requiring mechanical aptitude
• Knowledge of the methods, practices, materials, and tools used in the maintenance of doors, and machinery such as meters and valves
• Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions involved in the use of mechanical equipment
