Job summary

Anduril Industries in McHenry, Illinois, is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Planner to develop detailed maintenance plans for assets across our facilities, including R&D, production, manufacturing, and test sites. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and documentation quality.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in maintenance planning for aerospace/defense or manufacturing, strong CMMS skills, and deep knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, HVAC and mechanical systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in maintenance planning for aerospace/defense/manufacturing facilities.
• CMMS maintenance planning training including model work orders, preventive maintenance schedules and corrective maintenance support.
• Strong knowledge of industrial maintenance concepts including electrical (480V 3-phase), hydraulic and mechanical systems.
• Experience operating and maintaining forklifts, aerial lifts, overhead gantry cranes and hoists.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Independent worker who can operate with ambiguity and drive to outcomes with minimal oversight.
• High attention to detail and 100% compliance with company and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Create model work orders and detailed maintenance plans, including SOPs and quality standards for day-to-day maintenance in our industrial space (R&D, production, manufacturing, test site support).
• Scope mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing (MEP) work as the space evolves.
• Collaborate with equipment owners on future installations and planning, ensuring maintenance plans and schedules are in place and workflows are efficient.
• Collaborate with Environmental, Safety, and Health to ensure compliance on scheduled inspections.
• Help set the culture by working with senior leadership to create a can-do, customer-focused working environment and present a professional image.

ABOUT THE JOB

Anduril’s Facilities team is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Planner to join our team. The Facilities Operations team is responsible for maintaining and optimizing the facility to ensure operational continuity , safety , and efficiency and reports through the Head of Facilities. Duties include running routine safety inspections, partnering with contractors, planning maintenance work, and maintaining records.

As a Facilities Maintenance Planner, you will develop details maintenance plans for all facilities assets. The right person for this role has electrical, mechanical, HV AC, and plumbing experience. If you are someone who enjoys figuring out what needs to be done, exhibits highly focused and detailed work, is very organized, and can create clear and effective documentation, then this role is for you.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Create model work orders and detailed maintenance plans, including SOPs and quality standards for the day-to-day maintenance in our industrial space, consisting of research and development, production, manufacturing, and test site support.
• Scope mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and plumbing (MEP) work as the space evolves and changes.
• Collaborate with equipment owners on future equipment installations and planning that is inclusive of the space, ensuring the maintenance plans and schedules are in place and the workflow is efficient for all.
• Collaborate tightly with Environmental, Safety, and Health to ensure we are compliant on scheduled inspections.
• Help to set the culture of the company by working with the senior leadership to create a can‑do, customer focused working environment and present a professional image.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of related maintenance planning experience supporting aerospace, defense, automotive, or other types of manufacturing facilities.
• You have technical training in CMMS maintenance planning, including model work order design and development, preventative maintenance schedules, and corrective maintenance support.
• Strong knowledge of industrial maintenance concepts, including commercial/industrial electrical (including 480v 3-phase power), hydraulic and mechanical systems.
• You are knowledgable and experienced with operating and maintaining forklifts, aerial man lifts and overhead gantry cranes and hoists.
• You have strong organizational and time management skills.
• You’re an independent worker who can work with ambiguity and drive to outcomes with minimal oversight.
• You have strong attention to detail and an attitude of 100% compliance with all company and regulatory requirements.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Maintenance mangement/coordinator experience.
• Qualified rigging certification.
• Experience in managing day-to-day operations and projects.

US Salary Range

$99,000—$131,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.
