Qualifications

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Troubleshoot equipment to the electronic and/or mechanical component level and dismantle equipment as required to make repairs.
  2. Inspect and measure parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems.
  3. Realign and adjust components such as spindles and clutches.
  4. Perform Quarterly Preventative Maintenance activities on all production equipment.
  5. Perform machine clean-outs, replace/monitor filters as needed.
  6. Support Chips & Coolant positions backup.
  7. Schedule repairs using outside suppliers as required.
  8. Validate repair of machines and equipment following repairs.
  9. Operate machine controllers to determine machine status, supporting production.
  10. Perform facility maintenance and repair tasks such as plumbing, carpentry, painting, and electrical work.
  11. Maintain security, data, and phone systems.
  12. Coordinate with outside contractors: determine scope, solicit bids, schedule, and approve work.
  13. Be available for after-hours/weekend calls and call-ins.

Qualifications

High School/Trade School diploma, Mechatronics or Technical School graduate, Military mechanic considered. 2-3 years mechanical/electrical experience.

Ability to read schematics, write reports, and interpret information. Basic math, reasoning, and computer skills required.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

Exposure to moving mechanical parts, high places, moderate noise. Physical ability to lift weights and work on ladders required. Reasonable accommodations available.
