Job summary

Core Scientific is seeking a capable Facility Maintenance II to maintain production and facility equipment at our Pecos, TX data center. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, repairs, CMMS updates, and safety compliance.

The role requires a high school diploma/GED, a valid driver's license, and 2+ years of manufacturing experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical and PLC skills; HVAC familiarity is preferred. Candidates should work autonomously and in a team.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of manufacturing experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical and industrial skills with some PLC experience and HVAC preferred.

  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
  • Experience operating equipment such as lawn mowers, forklifts, scissor lifts and small hand tools.
  • Basic understanding of email and office software.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment.
  • Operate CMMS and participate in inventory management of tools, parts, and equipment.
  • Conduct minor building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting repairs as needed.
  • Perform simple machinist tasks, fabrication, and welding when required.
  • Read and interpret manuals and work orders; diagnose problems and replace parts.
  • Carry out regular preventive maintenance on machines and facilities.
  • Maintain clean, safe work areas and report unusual situations.
  • Maintain safety and professional communication within the team.

Apply today and make an impact at Core Scientific. **The Job**We’re looking for a capable and motivated Facility Maintenance II employee who is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.**Responsibilities*** Actively participate in safety policies and procedures.* Perform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.* Operate the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).* Participate in the inventory management of tools, parts, and equipment.* Perform minor building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting repairs as necessary.* Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities, such as fabrication and welding.* Perform tasks related to, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of facility and equipment.* Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders for maintenance and service.* Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and adjust.* Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, grounds, and facilities.* Detect faulty operations and defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.* Maintain clean and orderly work areas and facilities.* Cleaning of air filters for the data center.* Foster open, respectful, and professional communication directly within the team as well as with co-workers/ teammates and leaders across the organization.* Performs other duties as assigned.**Qualifications*** A high school diploma/GED is required.* Must have a valid driver's license.* 2+ years of manufacturing experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical and industrial skills with some PLC experience and HVAC preferred.* Willingness and ability to follow guidance from other staff members as well as management are required.* Positive and professional attitude always, very high attention to detail required.* Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision and in a team environment preferred.* Experienced in operating a variety of equipment, including, lawn mowers, forklifts, scissor lifts, and small hand tools required.* Basic understanding of email and office software required.* Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and pre-employment drug screening.**Reports To** Facilities Services Supervisor**Location**On Site**Travel**Occasional travel between data centers may be required as needed.**Work Environment**This job operates in a data center, office, and shop environment. This role routinely uses standard maintenance equipment, including ladders, scissor lifts, forklifts, power tools, and voltmeters. While performing these duties, the employee will be exposed to hot and cold environments.**Physical Demands**While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, and lift up to 40 pounds.**Position Type/ Expected Hours of Work**This is a full-time, onsite position.
