Job summary

Langley Post Acute, a 70-bed Sub-Acute and Long-Term Care facility, seeks a Director of Maintenance to lead all facility maintenance operations and ensure a safe, well-maintained environment that supports high-quality resident care.

This full-time role requires at least four years in a maintenance role within a healthcare setting, with HVAC certification strongly preferred. Read blueprints and manage staff, contractors, and vendors to ensure reliable operations.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of experience in a maintenance role.
• Nursing home or healthcare facility experience required.
• HVAC certification strongly preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations and compliance standards.
• Must be licensed or certified in accordance with state requirements.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance operations to keep the facility safe, functional, and well maintained at all times.
• Manage preventative maintenance programs, equipment repairs, and vendor coordination.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and facility standards.
• Supervise maintenance staff, contractors, and vendors to ensure timely, high-quality work.
• Maintain and monitor critical facility systems including boilers, compressors, generators, HVAC, electrical and plumbing.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure safety standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, manuals, and system schematics for maintenance.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities and inspections.
• Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies to protect residents and operations.
