Job summary

WLFL, a Sinclair Broadcast Group station in Raleigh, NC, seeks a reliable Facilities Maintenance Associate to support daily operations, coordinate deliveries and vendors, and assist the engineering team with maintenance and repair projects.

You will maintain a clean facility, monitor supplies, address safety concerns, and perform routine inspections, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in facilities maintenance or related field.
• General knowledge of basic maintenance practices (electrical, plumbing, carpentry).
• Ability to lift, carry, and move items over 50 pounds.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and respond to urgent needs.
• Strong organizational and vendor coordination skills.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional facility environment.
• Monitor and replenish janitorial and facility supplies.
• Identify maintenance needs and complete approved repairs; obtain expense approval from Chief Engineer.
• Schedule and monitor work by outside vendors and contractors.
• Address safety concerns promptly and address spills or hazards.
• Move and transport heavy packages and equipment over 50 pounds.
• Assist engineering team with projects and duties as needed.
• Perform light station vehicle maintenance and routine inspections.
• Conduct state-required safety inspections of equipment (AEDs, fire extinguishers, exit signs).
• Support station operations with related duties.
