Job summary

South Slope Cooperative Communications in North Liberty, IA, is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to help maintain safety, function, and appearance of facilities by performing routine repairs, troubleshooting maintenance needs, preventative upkeep, and coordinating with vendors when outside support is needed.

You will repair plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and carpentry systems, service equipment and small engines, inspect contractor work, update records, and handle weather-related tasks.

Responsibilities

• Keep common areas maintained and assist with occasional cleaning.
• Respond to emergencies, closures, and weather-related needs, including snow and ice removal.

What You'll Do

What You'll Bring

Work Environment

Monday-Friday, 8:00am- 4:30pm, 40 hours per week with occasional overtime requirement to support business needs. Work is performed primarily indoors and outdoors with exposure to various weather conditions depending on the nature of the tasks. May be exposed to potentially hazardous conditions, noise, and temperature extremes. Position involves frequent bending, standing, kneeling, climbing ladders, reaching below and above shoulders, and some lifting while performing job duties. Wrist, hand and finger dexterity is required to operate various equipment/tools.

Travel:

This position requires daily driving.
