Job summary

Regal Rexnord is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to maintain the appearance, functionality, safety, and cleanliness of the Auburn, AL facility. You will perform routine maintenance, repairs, painting, housekeeping, and grounds tasks to keep a safe, organized environment.

You will support 5S and Gemba standards, conduct inspections, and assist with improvement projects. Proficiency with hand/power tools and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds are required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two or more years of facility maintenance, building maintenance, or related experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of painting, general building repairs, housekeeping methods, and grounds maintenance.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, and maintenance equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work indoors and outdoors in varying environmental conditions.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and clean workplace.

Job description

Work Model: This is a fully onsite role, with work performed at your designated Regal Rexnord office.

Position Summary

This position is responsible for maintaining the appearance, functionality, safety, and cleanliness of the facility, both inside and outside the building. This position performs routine maintenance, repairs, painting, housekeeping, and grounds maintenance activities to ensure a safe, clean, organized, and professional working environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform general facility repairs, including walls, doors, floors, ceilings, windows, office spaces, break rooms, and common areas.
  • Conduct interior and exterior painting, touch‑up work, and surface preparation as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of production areas, warehouses, offices, restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
  • Support and sustain 5S and Gemba workplace standards throughout the facility.
  • Perform routine Gemba inspections and take corrective actions to address housekeeping and maintenance issues.
  • Maintain outdoor areas, including parking lots, sidewalks, landscaping, fencing, walkways, and building exteriors.
  • Remove trash, debris, and environmental hazards from indoor and outdoor areas.
  • Assist with facility improvement projects, office modifications, equipment moves, and workspace changes.
  • Perform minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical repairs as assigned.
  • Operate maintenance tools, power tools, pressure washers, lifts, and other maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
  • Respond to facility work orders in a timely manner and prioritize tasks based on operational needs.
  • Support Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) initiatives and ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance concerns and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain maintenance records, inspection logs, and work order documentation as required.
  • Assist during customer visits, audits, and special events to ensure the facility maintains a professional appearance.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to facility appearance, efficiency, and workplace organization.
  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors as needed to support facility maintenance activities.
  • Perform preventive maintenance activities to support building systems and facility infrastructure.
  • Assist other departments as needed to support operational requirements and business objectives.
  • Perform other duties, responsibilities, and special projects as assigned by management.
