THIS IS A HANDS-ON TECHNICIAN ROLE – NOT A DESK JOB

We are looking for a Facilities Technician Lead who personally performs maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs. If you prefer delegating work to others, this position is not for you.

At UCT, we touch every semiconductor chip that goes into smartphones, smart vehicles, and AI devices. Our Chandler facility needs a skilled technician who can keep our critical systems operating at peak performance through direct, hands‑on execution.

WHAT YOU WILL DO – WITH YOUR OWN HANDS
  • Maintain clean room environments – perform FFU unit exchanges and environmental system repairs
  • Troubleshoot and repair industrial HVAC systems, chillers, boilers, and cooling towers
  • Maintain compressed air systems, pumps, and pneumatic controls
  • Repair and maintain DI water systems and water treatment equipment
  • Work on power distribution up to 480V – panels, motor control centers (MCCs), VFDs, and motor controls
  • Execute daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance – personal completion required
  • Diagnose equipment failures and perform corrective repairs – not just call vendors
  • Use CMMS to track work orders, parts inventory, and maintenance history
  • Participate in Emergency Response Team (ERT) activities
  • Troubleshoot PLC‑controlled systems and automation equipment
  • Perform basic welding and fabrication as needed
WHAT YOU BRING
  • 5+ years industrial maintenance experience in semiconductor, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or data center environments
  • Clean room experience required – FFU systems, environmental controls, clean room protocols
  • Expert‑level knowledge of HVAC, chillers, boilers, and compressed air systems
  • Industrial electrical troubleshooting skills – 480V, motors, VFDs, motor controls
  • DI water / RO water systems experience
  • PLC troubleshooting experience (Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, or similar)
  • CMMS proficiency (Maximo, SAP, or equivalent)
  • Basic welding/soldering experience
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs, work at heights up to 50 ft, and in varying weather conditions
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and self‑motivation
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Semiconductor fab experience (Intel, TSMC, Microchip, or similar)
  • PLC programming capabilities
  • EPA / HVAC certification
  • Component‑level electronics repair experience
  • Military technical background
