Zusammenfassung

RenewCO2 is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician in New Jersey to keep the building, systems, and pilot equipment running smoothly. You will respond to chiller issues, coordinate contractor visits, and perform routine upkeep and troubleshooting in a hands-on, resource-constrained environment.

You’ll manage HVAC and building systems, calibrate lab equipment, and coordinate outside service for complex needs while maintaining safety and compliance across the facility.

Qualifikationen

• 1–3 years in facilities, building maintenance, lab ops, or industrial maintenance.
• Hands-on troubleshooting of HVAC and building mechanical systems.
• Familiar with plumbing and low-voltage electrical work (controls wiring, sensors, lighting controls, access control, network and device cabling).
• Willingness to learn new building systems on the job, including BMS/BAS, gas detection and alarms, and process controls.
• Experience coordinating outside contractors and service vendors.
• Comfort with basic hand and power tools and mechanical repair.
• Self-motivated with ability to identify and act on tasks without being assigned.
• Good organizational habits and maintenance scheduling.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work on ladders, and operate in a lab/pilot plant with chemicals and high-voltage equipment.

Aufgaben

• Build and maintain lab, pilot, and office spaces’ upkeep: lighting, plumbing, electrical, doors, access control, and housekeeping.
• Maintain and troubleshoot HVAC, exhaust and ventilation, compressed air, process chilled water, and DI water systems; monitor the BMS and respond to faults.
• Maintain calibration schedules for lab and pilot equipment; coordinate outside service for advanced needs.
• Coordinate quotes, scheduling, and supervision of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing trades; ensure safety compliance.
• Support lab safety programs: chemical storage, gas handling, eyewash and safety showers, fire extinguishers, and waste coordination.
• Maintain spare parts inventory, asset records, maintenance logs, and spend tracking.
• Assist with equipment installs, utility tie-ins, and lab/pilot area reconfigurations with engineering.
• Keep documentation and logs up to date for inspections and audits.
• Ability to work after hours or weekends for critical issues.
