Job summary

AUMOVIO is seeking a Facilities & Kaizen Engineering Intern to join our team for Summer 2027 at our automotive manufacturing facility in New Braunfels, Texas. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while developing a broad understanding of Facilities Engineering.

This internship is a full-time, on-site opportunity designed to provide meaningful learning experiences and professional development.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in accredited college or university.
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related studies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Drive safety, quality, productivity, cost, and Kaizen improvements for the plant.
• Participate in problem solving activities employing various problem‑solving techniques (5 Why, 8 D, Cause and Effect, and Fishbone Diagrams, etc.) to drive problems to permanent corrective action.
• Assist in a variety of facilities setup and improvement projects.
• Support other Engineering duties and projects as assigned.

Job Description

AUMOVIO is seeking a Facilities & Kaizen Engineering Intern to join our team for Summer 2027 at our automotive manufacturing facility in New Braunfels, Texas. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment while developing a broad understanding of Facilities Engineering.

This internship is a full‑time, on‑site opportunity designed to provide meaningful learning experiences and professional development. This internship position is scheduled to last 12 weeks in length from May 17, 2027-August 6, 2027.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drive safety, quality, productivity, cost, and Kaizen improvements for the plant.
• Participate in problem solving activities employing various problem‑solving techniques (5 Why, 8 D, Cause and Effect, and Fishbone Diagrams, etc.) to drive problems to permanent corrective action.
• Assist in a variety of facilities setup and improvement projects.
• Support other Engineering duties and projects as assigned.

The Facilities & Kaizen Engineering Intern can expect to gain practical experience in a broad range of Industrial Engineering focused functions including:
