Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years janitorial or facilities experience.
• 1–2 years supervisory or leadership experience.
• Knowledge of commercial cleaning procedures, equipment, and chemicals.
• Ability to read safety procedures and work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of janitorial personnel.
• Schedule staff assignments and ensure adequate coverage for all shifts and facility areas.
• Conduct regular inspections of buildings, offices, restrooms, common areas, and designated spaces to ensure cleanliness standards are achieved.
• Train employees on proper cleaning methods, equipment operation, safety procedures, and company policies.
• Monitor employee attendance, productivity, and performance.
• Assist with employee onboarding, coaching, disciplinary actions, and performance evaluations.
• Ensure proper use, storage, and maintenance of cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Maintain inventory of janitorial supplies and coordinate replenishment as needed.
• Respond promptly to client requests, complaints, and special cleaning requirements.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, safety procedures, and environmental standards.
• Investigate and report workplace incidents, injuries, or safety concerns.
• Coordinate periodic deep-cleaning projects, floor care programs, carpet cleaning, and special event support.
• Complete administrative duties including schedules, inspections, reports, timekeeping, and work orders.
• Monitor quality assurance programs and implement corrective actions when deficiencies are identified.
• Support emergency response activities, including weather events, spills, and facility-related incidents.
• Perform custodial duties as needed to support staffing requirements and operational needs.
