Job summary

Baltimore County Public Schools is seeking a Facilities Inspector/Project Coordinator to oversee maintenance, renovations, and capital improvement projects across BCPS properties. You will coordinate contractors, schedule inspections, and ensure work meets standards.

Responsibilities include preparing materials specs, reviewing proposals, tracking budgets, and generating reports. A high school diploma and 5 years' experience are required; a Maryland Class C driver's license is also needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Five years of experience in maintenance inspection and/or contract management.
• Valid Class C Maryland driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Inspects and oversees the work of assorted contractor trades at various sites and coordinates scheduling with staff and agencies.
• Ensures contracted work meets standards, reviews progress reports, and documents findings with recommendations.
• Prepares project documents, materials specs, and scope of work; reviews proposals and designs.
• Tracks budgets, maintains records, and reconciles fiscal information for projects.
• Leads projects from inception to completion and represents BCPS at progress meetings.
