Job summary

UCLA is seeking a Facilities Mechanic to perform routine and semi-skilled maintenance, alterations, and repair of campus HVAC equipment. You will assist journeypersons with installation, preventive maintenance, and岳 repairs on steam, chilled water, and other facility systems, while maintaining logs and ensuring safety on site.

The role requires hands-on HVAC knowledge, ability to work independently or in a team, and a valid CA noncommercial Class C license.

Qualifications

• General HVAC trade practices and procedures knowledge (Required)
• Repair/installation and preventive maintenance on equipment/systems (Required)
• Maintain logs of completed tasks (Required)
• Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and handle heavy objects up to 50 lbs (Required)
• Keep accurate records of work and completed jobs (Required)

Responsibilities

• Assist journeyperson with installation and preventive maintenance of HVAC equipment and systems
• Perform routine and semi-skilled maintenance and repair of campus equipment
• Operate tools and equipment related to the HVAC trade
• Maintain logs of completed tasks and reports
• Follow safety practices and work as part of a team or independently
