Job summary

MANAHAN is seeking a Housekeeper to maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment across all base facilities. You will report to the Kitchen Manager and may present education sessions for staff while ensuring regulatory compliance and resident safety.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, basic cleaning-chemical knowledge, and the ability to operate cleaning equipment. Valid license and flexibility for emergency shifts are needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 6 months of housekeeping experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning agents and proper use.
• Ability to operate carpet cleaning systems and equipment.
• Valid driver's license and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and maintains all areas in all buildings at the base facility.
• Operates and maintains housekeeping equipment and stores it properly.
• Assists with grounds maintenance as needed and handles snow/ice.
• Participates as a presenter for departmental or staff education programs.
• Advises staff on proper sanitation and cleaning procedures.
• Washes and changes linens for respite guests.
• Develops and implements preventive housekeeping schedules.
• Maintains stock of paper and liquid hygiene supplies.
• Attends in-service education and presents as required.
