Job summary

The position requires a high school diploma and 7 years of relevant experience, including supervisory duties, plus a valid North Carolina driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 7 years of experience in construction trades or building maintenance, including supervisory and administrative experience.
• Valid North Carolina Driver’s License required.
• Ability to plan, supervise, inspect, and coordinate maintenance and repair work.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the day-to-day activities of all Buildings and Grounds employees.
• Manage work orders and data entry.
• Monitor HVAC controls for County facilities.
• Coordinate maintenance needs with the Director and schedule work.
• Ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, policies and standards.
• Be on-call 24 hours to respond to emergencies and urgent repairs.
• Provide guidance and training to staff, and assist with budgeting and procurement as needed.
