Job summary

Kinsley Power Systems is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee the upkeep of property utilities and building systems in a casino/hotel environment. The role includes troubleshooting, inventory management, and coordinating with shifts to minimize downtime.

Candidates should have at least 3 years in engineering/maintenance and be able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends. A valid driver’s license is required and familiarity with CMMS is a plus.

Qualifications

  • 3 years’ experience in Engineering, General Maintenance, Construction, or a combination providing required knowledge and skills.
  • Facilities experience in hotel/casino/resort industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair property utilities and building systems to ensure proper operation.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain and record inventory replacement parts.
  • Respond to emergencies and coordinate maintenance plans with shifts.
  • Record work requests and preventative maintenance using CMMS HotSoS.
  • Communicate with management and other departments to minimize downtime.
  • Operate under varying weather and load conditions to maintain optimum performance.
  • Maintain valid driver’s license and drive as required.
  • Other duties as assigned within the scope of the position.

Job description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsible for the maintenance and repair of property utilities.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain and record inventory equipment replacement parts.
  • Maintain all building systems and equipment, including repairs, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, pneumatic, hydraulic equipment and appliances to ensure effective operation.
  • Inform management staff of problems requiring maintenance and report any equipment deficiencies.
  • Receive keys, radio and job assignments daily, coordinate work plan and apply standard maintenance practices.
  • Maintain and repair all building systems and equipment.
  • Communicate with other shifts to ensure any follow-up on ongoing projects in order to minimize down time.
  • Respond to accident scenes, emergency calls (fire, smoke, etc.) and observe and assist.
  • Act as a maintenance representative for the Property Operations department.
  • Maintain daily record of work requests, preventative maintenance work requests via smart phone/device using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) HotSoS.
  • Responsible for maintaining optimum operating conditions for proper building operations during varying weather and building loads.
  • Any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position.

  • Ability to interpret and follow through on a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

  • Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate.
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Must have 3 years’ experience in Engineering, General Maintenance, Construction, or any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Facilities experience in hotel/casino/resort industry is preferred.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES
  • Must be able to maintain valid driver’s license and meet GSR driving requirements.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • While performing the duties of this job, the team member is constantly standing, walking, and occasionally sitting, reaching overhead, bending over, crouching, kneeling, crawling, climbing, and balancing during the duration of their shift.
  • Must be able to frequently lift/carry and push/pull up to 50lbs or less. Team member must be able to occasionally lift/carry up to 100lbs or less.
  • Dependent on the shift the team member will be occasionally driving.
  • The team member will occasionally have repetitive use of both feet, frequently have repetitive use of both hands and require frequent light and firm/strong grasping motions. Finger dexterity of both hands will be constantly required.
  • Constant use of vision abilities is required including distance, depth perception, field of vision, and color vision.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Work performed indoors and outdoors, alone and frequently with and around others. Team Member will perform work face-to-face including verbal contact with others on extended shifts around computer equipment, mechanical devices, flame/heat generated devices, and other electrical devices.
  • Team member may have to work in confined areas, extreme heat, extreme cold, wet and/or humid conditions as well as around solvents/oils, dirt/dust, moving objects, high places, and slippery surfaces.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but may be loud at times and possible exposure to vibrations.
  • Team Member may be exposed to fumes/odor and/or secondhand smoke.
