Position Summary: PECNA is looking to fill the Facilities Fire System Tech - Level 3 position. Responsibilities include maintenance and inspections of fire systems within the facility, along with various facility operations and maintenance duties.

Essential Duties

• Operate effectively in a team conducting inspections, testing, maintenance, and repairs on fire sprinkler, alarm, extinguisher systems, and other related equipment.
• Complete inspections and preventative maintenance on fire extinguishers.
• Assist with scheduled maintenance, testing, and repair of fire and life-safety systems, ensuring documentation accuracy.
• Respond to technical issues, troubleshoot, and resolve problems with engineering support.
• Support inspections, testing, maintenance, and repairs of facilities systems.
• Assist fire authorities, public agencies, and third-party vendors.
• Complete required training and participate in emergency response operations.
• Communicate effectively with management and team members.
• Ensure compliance with laws, codes, regulations, and company policies.
• Assist with other facilities duties as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues.
• Maintain detailed records and ensure adherence to policies and standards.
• Maintain area cleanliness and meet 6S standards.
• Train others as needed and work all scheduled shifts.
• Meet physical demands and PPE requirements of the role.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements

• Use PPE such as Tyvek suits, safety shoes, gloves, glasses, masks, and hazmat suits with respirators.
• Wear a Chem Tech Hard Hat at all times, no bump caps.
• Use PAPR and flame-resistant uniforms as required.

Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma, GED, or at least three years of relevant experience.

Essential Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of fire protection standards and systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Trade school/vocational training or equivalent.
• NICET Level I certification or higher.
• Degree in fire protection or related engineering fields.

Preferred License(s) and Certification(s)

• Driver's license with CDL (preferred).
• NFPA 70E or 70B, OSHA 10, HAZWOPER, ICS 100 certifications.

Physical Demands

• Physical activities include sitting, walking, standing, and lifting up to 35 lbs occasionally.
