Job summary

CV Linens is seeking an experienced Facilities & Equipment Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance and repair of our warehouse facility and equipment. You will troubleshoot forklifts, Cushman carts, and pallet jacks, perform preventive maintenance, and coordinate with outside contractors as needed.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical skills, can work independently, and maintain thorough records of repairs and maintenance in a warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Industrial, warehouse, fleet, automotive, or equipment maintenance experience.
• Hands-on experience with forklifts or similar powered equipment.
• Experience with Cushman carts, electric pallet jacks, or similar gear.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to read manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical specs.
• Ability to reference and coordinate with outside contractors when needed.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair forklifts, Cushman carts, electric pallet jacks, and similar warehouse equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues including batteries, wiring, motors, charging systems, and brakes.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections of equipment.
• Test equipment after repairs and ensure safety before return to service.
• Identify unsafe equipment and remove it from service when necessary.
• Coordinate with outside contractors for specialized repairs as needed.
• Maintain facility and equipment records, including parts and repairs.
• Assist with general facility maintenance and minor installations.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and Lockout/Tagout requirements.

Job description

CV Linens is seeking an experienced, hands‑on Facilities & Equipment Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance and repair of our warehouse facility, forklifts, Cushman carts, electric pallet jacks, and other material‑handling equipment.

This position is ideal for someone with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills who can handle day‑to‑day repairs, preventive maintenance, and facility needs while recognizing when specialized work should be referred to an outside contractor.

What You'll Do

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair forklifts, Cushman carts, electric pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues involving batteries, wiring, fuses, switches, motors, charging systems, brakes, steering components, wheels, and related equipment
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and routine equipment inspections
• Test equipment after repairs and ensure it is safe before returning it to service
• Identify unsafe or damaged equipment and remove it from service when necessary
• Perform general facility maintenance and minor repairs
• Assist with minor plumbing, electrical, painting, patching, hardware, doors, fixtures, furniture, shelving, and equipment installations
• Help maintain warehouse fans, carts, workstations, tools, and other operational equipment
• Respond to urgent facility and equipment maintenance issues
• Coordinate specialized HVAC, plumbing, electrical, security/alarm, pest control, and other repairs with outside contractors as needed
• Obtain vendor quotes and assist with identifying cost‑effective repair solutions
• Coordinate vendor and contractor access and follow repairs through completion
• Maintain preventive maintenance schedules for facility and warehouse equipment
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, preventive maintenance, parts replaced, and vendor services
• Maintain an organized inventory of tools, replacement parts, and maintenance supplies
• Assist with facility projects, equipment installations, relocations, furniture setups, and other operational needs
• Follow company safety procedures, equipment manufacturer specifications, and applicable Lockout/Tagout requirements
• Report equipment damage, safety hazards, accidents, and maintenance concerns promptly

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in industrial, warehouse, fleet, automotive, facilities, or equipment maintenance
• Hands‑on experience maintaining or repairing forklifts or similar powered industrial equipment
• Experience with Cushman carts, utility vehicles, electric pallet jacks, or similar equipment preferred
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
• Working knowledge of electrical systems, including wiring, batteries, fuses, switches, connectors, motors, and charging systems
• Ability to use a multimeter and basic electrical diagnostic equipment
• General knowledge of building and facility maintenance
• Ability to read equipment manuals, wiring diagrams, service instructions, and technical specifications
• Experience using hand and power tools safely
• Understanding of preventive maintenance practices
• Ability to determine when a repair should be referred to a qualified or licensed contractor
• Strong problem‑solving, organization, and time‑management skills
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance needs
• Dependable, safety‑conscious, and able to communicate effectively with employees, management, vendors, and contractors

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift or powered industrial equipment repair experience
• Industrial maintenance, automotive, small engine, mechanical, or electrical background
• Experience maintaining battery‑powered industrial equipment
• OSHA Lockout/Tagout training
• Facilities maintenance experience
• Experience coordinating vendors and contractors
• Mechanical, electrical, automotive, industrial maintenance, or related technical certification

Physical Requirements

This is a hands‑on position that requires regular standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and working in different positions while inspecting or repairing equipment. The position also requires the safe use of hand and power tools and the ability to lift and move tools, parts, furniture, and equipment as required for the job.

Work is performed in a warehouse environment and may involve exposure to machinery, batteries, electrical components, noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
