Job summary

Rowan University’s Environmental Services Worker role supports a clean, safe, and welcoming environment at the Rowan‑Virtua School of Osteopathic Medicine in Stratford, NJ. The position contributes to the health and experience of students, faculty, staff, and visitors by maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.

A valid New Jersey driver’s license is required. Duties include cleaning, waste disposal, floor and carpet care, and operating university vehicles as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, understand and communicate in English.
• New Jersey driver's license is required.
• Prior institutional environmental services experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and general cleaning to prevent the spread of infection and keeps areas orderly and attractive.
• Performs proper cleaning to insure cleanliness of the assigned areas.
• Renders moving services throughout the University.
• Performs daily collection, storage and disposal of various waste generated within the University.
• Operates University vehicles and vehicular equipment.
• Interacts with persons of all ages in a diverse, multicultural environment with respect and consideration.
