Job summary

Busek Co. Inc. is seeking a skilled Facility Electrical Technician to support operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our manufacturing and research facilities.

This role suits an experienced electrician who thrives in an aerospace environment with high-vacuum test systems. The successful candidate will perform electrical installation, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and facility projects across multiple buildings and infrastructure.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Journeyman Electrician or equivalent commercial/industrial electrical experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Experience installing, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial or industrial electrical systems.
  • Experience reading electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Familiarity with motor controls, electrical panels, and industrial equipment.
  • Ability to safely troubleshoot energized equipment.
  • Experience working independently while managing multiple priorities.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to support facility maintenance beyond electrical systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair commercial and industrial electrical systems.
  • Perform electrical work supporting manufacturing equipment, laboratory systems, and facility infrastructure.
  • Install conduit, wiring, electrical panels, lighting, receptacles, breakers, and control systems in accordance with NEC and local electrical codes.
  • Support preventative maintenance programs for facility electrical equipment.
  • Assist with installation and commissioning of new manufacturing and laboratory equipment.
  • Troubleshoot electrical distribution systems and equipment failures.
  • Support HVAC, compressed air, plumbing, and other facility infrastructure as needed.
  • Maintain electrical systems supporting high-vacuum chambers, cleanrooms, production equipment, welding systems, X-ray equipment, and research laboratories.
  • Assist with PLC-controlled equipment, automation systems, and vacuum control systems when required.
  • Coordinate with outside contractors during facility upgrades and construction projects.
  • Maintain building lighting, emergency power systems, and electrical safety equipment.
  • Support facility improvements, renovations, and expansion projects.
  • Participate in Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) initiatives and maintain compliance with OSHA and applicable safety regulations.
  • Assist with general building and grounds maintenance, including seasonal support activities.

Position Summary

Busek is seeking a skilled Facility Electrical Technician to support the operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our manufacturing and research facilities. This position is ideal for an experienced electrician who enjoys working in a technically advanced environment supporting aerospace manufacturing, laboratories, and high-vacuum test systems.

Experience working in industrial, manufacturing, laboratory, or research environments is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Experience with PLC troubleshooting or programming.
  • Familiarity with vacuum systems, cryogenic systems, or laboratory infrastructure.
  • Experience supporting HVAC equipment, compressed air systems, plumbing, or building automation systems.
  • Welding knowledge (orbital, laser, or electron beam) is a plus.
  • Forklift, lift equipment, or OSHA safety certifications are beneficial.
