Job summary

Polysciences, Inc., a specialty chemical manufacturer headquartered in Warrington, PA, seeks a Facilities Engineer to own facility infrastructure and CAPEX projects from $50K to $5M, coordinating scope, budgets, bidding, construction, commissioning, and closeout.

You will support HVAC, electrical, plumbing, compressed air, ventilation, building controls, fire protection, and other utilities across manufacturing and labs, with EHS compliance and site procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Civil, or related Engineering field.
• Experience managing facility, infrastructure, and CAPEX projects in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in chemical manufacturing or similar industrial setting with EHS requirements.
• Ability to manage projects from scope and budgeting through contractor selection, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, compressed air, ventilation, controls, fire protection, and utilities.
• Familiarity with OSHA requirements, building codes, permitting, and change-control processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead facility and infrastructure CAPEX projects from $50K to $5MM through scope, budget, bid, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
• Develop scopes, budgets, schedules, bid packages, and technical requirements.
• Solicit and evaluate proposals; select and manage contractors, vendors, and external resources.
• Manage multiple projects with schedules, budgets, risks, and changes.
• Provide updates on project status, budget, schedule, and risk to management.
• Coordinate shutdowns to minimize disruption to manufacturing and labs.
