The Impact You’ll Make

The Electrical Engineer will develop discipline-specific engineering designs, drawings, specifications, and scope of work documents for constructing new R&D Lab facilities, installing new process equipment, and modifying existing facility systems. Responsibilities include reviewing and estimating design costs, inspecting construction progress, coordinating with architecture/engineering firms, developing criteria and performance specifications, leading systems operations and maintenance activities, and planning facility changes to optimize operation, facility use, and compliance with laws and regulations.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead design, construction, commissioning, testing, and operation of critical electrical systems including utility power, emergency power, UPS, generators, lighting, and grounding.
  • Ensure proper maintenance, evaluate records, and participate in coordination to maximize reliability.
  • Use EasyPower software for power studies, arc fault analysis, and short circuit calculations.
  • Monitor and report on electrical capacity to support business growth based on forecasts and usage.
  • Manage and approve electrical circuit modifications and ensure contractor compliance.
  • Review facility design for capital projects, ensuring adherence to Lam protocols.
  • Identify infrastructure improvements to reduce costs and enhance business uptime.
  • Manage budgets related to electrical engineering expenses and projects.
  • Develop and update technical specifications for electrical equipment and materials.
  • Participate in site incident prevention and construction/maintenance planning, ensuring safety and minimal business impact.
  • Travel periodically both domestically and internationally as needed.
Who We’re Looking For

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with relevant focus or experience.
  • At least 8 years of experience in a similar electrical engineering role.
  • Professional Engineering License or EIT certification preferred.
  • Proficiency with Easy Power software and experience modeling for large sites (~1-20 MVA).
  • Knowledge of NFPA/NEC & NETA standards, with strong troubleshooting skills and experience with variable speed drives.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, with a solution-oriented mindset.
