Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. (PCC) in North Grafton, MA, is seeking an Engineering professional to provide support for major maintenance and capital projects at the Grafton facility.

You will design and troubleshoot control systems, develop PLC/ HMI software, and support plant operations across shifts. The role requires 5+ years of experience in control design, proficiency with PLCs, C language, and Visual Basic, plus strong documentation and team communication skills.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years in design of control systems and maintenance.
• Experience with PLC, SQL, HMI, Visual Basic, C language and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate and timely engineering calculations.
• Design electrical schematics and PLC-based control/test systems on new or existing equipment.
• Programming of C/C++, Visual Basic, and Ladder Logic
• Development and reconfiguration of automated reports using Visual Basic
• Supporting ongoing operations, troubleshooting, and resolving emergencies including after-hours on-site support
• Organizing and maintaining information on plant system/instruments and improvement programs
• Manage budget, schedule, subcontractors and internal personnel on projects
• Documentation and training.

PURPOSE

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Produce accurate and timely engineering calculations

• Organizing and maintaining information on plant system/instruments and improvement programs
• Manage budget, schedule, subcontractors and internal personnel on projects
• Documentation and training.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in design of control systems and maintenance.
• Knowledge of PLC, SQL, HMI, Visual Basic, C language and AutoCAD.
• Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio, Studio 5000, Aveva or Wonderware Solutions, and C-More
• Good communication and organization skills.

SPECIAL SKILLS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to operate in confined spaces, or in dirty, wet, cold or hot conditions for extended periods.
• Understanding of NEC code and NFPA, and hydraulic drawings.
• Proficient with use of computer applications
• Ability to lift 35-lbs.

Pay & Benefits

• For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $65,000 to $90,000 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors.
• For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 2X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter.
• Employees will receive 120 hours paid time off every year.
• Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays.
• Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance.
• Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.
