Insight Global is seeking a Facilities Engineer in the Greater San Jose area to design, build, activate and maintain our next-generation spacecraft manufacturing facilities. Formación

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 5–10 years in design or build of MEP and HVAC building systems.
• Experience managing engineering, procurement, and construction for aerospace or large commercial construction.
• Experience with electrical distribution systems, UPS, generators, and grounding.
• Familiarity with NEC, ASHRAE, NFPA, and IBC.

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Facilities Engineer in the Greater San Jose area. You will help design, build, activate and maintain our next-generation spacecraft manufacturing facilities. You will be able to operate with autonomy to solve diverse and complex problems, excel at managing multiple projects at a time and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. As a Facilities Engineer, you will participate, coordinate, and execute infrastructure projects as well as oversee ongoing operations and maintenance of facilities, equipment, and utilities. This will involve corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance techniques as well as operational and design feedback for maintaining and improving all systems at the facility.

Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or other engineering discipline or equivalent experience
• 5-10 years of professional experience with the design or build of MEP (Manufacturing Electrical Plumbing) and HVAC building systems
• Experience in planning and day-to-day management of engineering, procurement, and construction processes for aerospace, industrial or large commercial constructionprojects
• Primary experience with electrical and power distribution systems including delta/wye transformers, building lighting, building construction specifications, and facility grounding
• Experience with critical power infrastructure including UPS systems, backup generators, and automatic transfer switches
• Knowledge of HVAC operation and design principles including refrigeration, chillers, boilers, HEPA filtration and air handling equipment
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or engineering design software
• Experience in conceptual design and budgeting
• Familiarity with National Electric Code, ASHRAE, National Fire Protection Association, and International Building Code
• Experience with aerospace manufacturing equipment (clean rooms, vibration tables, thermal vacuum chambers, in-air thermal chambers)
• Experience with test and process automation equipment (Data acquisition systems,PLCs)
