The Facilities Engineer works closely with Maintenance, Engineering, Production, EHS, Quality, and Company leadership to support equipment reliability, facility uptime, manufacturing expansion, and safe, efficient plant operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide engineering and technical support for facility infrastructure and manufacturing equipment, including installation, relocation, commissioning, decommissioning, upgrades, modifications, and plant-layout changes.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve facility and equipment issues involving HVAC, compressed dry air (CDA), electrical distribution, utilities, controls, equipment infrastructure, network drops, and other building or manufacturing support systems.

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability, availability, and operating efficiency.

  • Provide technical leadership and coaching to Maintenance Technicians on advanced troubleshooting, repair methods, equipment operation, maintenance strategies, technical documentation, and safe work practices.

  • Develop and maintain equipment and facility maintenance standards, procedures, work instructions, troubleshooting guides, specifications, drawings, manuals, asset information, and spare-parts recommendations.

  • Plan, coordinate, and communicate preventive maintenance, planned downtime, facility shutdowns, installations, construction activities, and engineering work to minimize disruption to manufacturing operations.

  • Coordinate and manage suppliers, equipment manufacturers, contractors, landlords, utilities, municipalities, inspectors, system integrators, and other external partners supporting facility operations, maintenance, audits, inspections, and projects.

  • Conduct routine facility inspections, coordinate minor repairs and corrective actions, and support procurement of facility-related supplies and materials.

  • Identify, evaluate, and implement facility and equipment upgrades, retrofits, guarding, error-proofing, energy-efficiency projects, reliability enhancements, and other continuous-improvement opportunities.

  • Ensure facility and equipment modifications comply with applicable safety, electrical, environmental, machine-guarding, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and Company requirements.

  • Partner with EHS to evaluate facility and equipment changes for potential safety, environmental, and regulatory risks.

  • Support root-cause analysis of equipment and facility failures and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions.

  • Support capital and facility-improvement projects from concept through implementation, including scope development, technical evaluation, budgeting, scheduling, vendor selection, installation, commissioning, and project closeout.

  • Maintain accurate records of facility assets, equipment history, maintenance activities, repairs, projects, engineering changes, drawings, specifications, and other technical documentation.

  • Support development and management of critical spare-parts requirements and equipment lifecycle planning.

  • Monitor facility and equipment performance and identify opportunities to improve uptime, reliability, energy consumption, maintainability, and operating cost.

  • Provide engineering and technical support for facility or equipment emergencies, including planned shutdowns, weekends, holidays, and off-shift operations as required.

  • Perform other engineering, facilities, maintenance, and technical duties or projects as assigned.
