Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking an experienced Facilities Engineer to lead facility-based projects, coordinate maintenance, inspect equipment, and calibrate electrical and mechanical systems under the Facilities Manager.

You will plan heat, power and electricity operations, develop strategies with subcontractors, train staff, review preventive maintenance, and report progress on improvements to leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent from four-year college or technical school.
  • 6–10 years related experience including facilities management or project engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and inspect equipment maintenance under Facilities Manager direction.
  • Test and calibrate electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Plan, direct, and control heat, power and electricity operations for the facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Specializes in Facility-based projects. Facilitates and acts in charge of the programming, coordinating, inspection, and repairs of equipment in the plant based on direction from the Facilities Manager. Takes part in the testing and calibration of electrical and mechanical systems. Demonstrates, builds, and enforces the best exercises for all projects and functions within the facility. Plans, directs, and controls the operations involved with heat, power and electricity to the facility.

  • 1. Responsible to ensure the economic functionality of maintenance.
  • 2. Assists with the development of the strategies and plans.
  • 3. Actively takes part in the excerption, appraisal and commendation of subcontractors and vendors to bring off a better deal.
  • 4. Provides necessary training to members of the staff.
  • 5. Studies equipment performance for determining the intended operation.
  • 6. Reviews all preventive maintenance work.
  • 7. Conducts research work for the improvement of planned enhancements.
  • 8. Facilities the engineers to control subsisting systems for fire detection.
  • 9. Creates improvement of the efficiency of resources by developing methods and equipment.
  • 10. Reports and updates the Facilities Manager of their work.
  • 11. Presents the technical data results to some technical and non-technical clients.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • 1. Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Engineering or equivalent from four-year college or technical school;
  • 2. And/or six years to ten years related experience including facilities management or project engineering.
REQUIRED SKILLS
  • 1. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • 2. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • 3. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
  • 4. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
  • 5. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • 6. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • 7. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Relocation

Relocation is authorized for this position.

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $79,500 to $119,300 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors. Employees will receive 80 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.

This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)). To comply with those regulations, this position may require applicants to be U.S. Persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, U.S. lawful permanent residents, protected individuals as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)), or eligible to obtain the required export authorizations from the U.S. Department of State or the U.S. Department of Commerce.
