Job summary

City of Lee’s Summit is seeking an experienced Electrician to support City facilities with hands-on electrical maintenance, repairs and installations across municipal buildings and systems.

Under the supervision of the Facilities Operations & Maintenance Manager, you will troubleshoot, diagnose problems and coordinate with staff, contractors, and suppliers. Five+ years in electrical maintenance and a Journeyman Electrician license are required; Master Electrician preferred.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician required; Master Electrician preferred.
• Five+ years in electrical maintenance; five years in two trades.
• High school diploma or equivalent; US citizen or authorized worker.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Equivalent education/experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems.
• Perform electrical maintenance and installations.
• Support remodeling, renovation, and construction projects.
• Maintain electrical equipment and building systems.
• Diagnose problems and implement solutions.
• Coordinate with staff, contractors, and suppliers.
• Perform preventive maintenance.
