Responsibilities

  • Repair, install, replace, and test electrical circuits, equipment, and appliances.
  • Read and update electrical panel schedules.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance as directed by engineering.
  • Maintain motor control centers and programmable logic controllers (600V and below).
  • Install and monitor performance of electrical equipment for hazards and efficiency.
  • Support launch site electrical activities and related construction tasks.
  • Ensure usage and maintenance of equipment and supplies follow safety practices.
  • Continue support of Launch Site One electrical maintenance and construction activities.
  • Read blueprints to guide electrical work.
  • Contribute to safe and reliable operations at the West Texas site.

DESCRIPTION

As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will be responsible for repairing, testing, constructing, activating and maintaining Electrical, COMM and Fire Detection System required to support the West Texas site. This is a hands‑on position focused on electrical facility repair, construction, activation and preventive maintenance. Facilities include launch vehicle manufacturing, integration and test; launch Site, and launch command and control centers. This position will directly influence the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Knowledge of secondary electrical systems including performing additions or modifications on secondary circuits
  • Repair, install, replace, and test electrical circuits, equipment, and appliances using appropriate tools and testing instruments
  • Repairs and maintains motor control centers and programmable logic controls (600 volts and below)
  • Installs and monitors performance of installed electrical equipment for hazards, adjustments, or replacement
  • Perform work of lower level electricians
  • Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance as directed by engineering
  • Reads, employs, and updates electrical panel schedules
  • Performs miscellaneous job‑related duties as assigned Ability to continue support of Launch Site One electrical preventive and corrective maintenance including construction activities and to maintain functionality and reliability of electrical systems required for the daily operations of West Texas launch Site.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Texas Journeyman State License
  • 4 to 6 years of Experience as an electrician
  • A high school diploma
  • Completed electrician apprenticeship
  • Proficiency with the National Electrical Code and local codes
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (CMV certification will be required when hired)
  • Strong safety mindset and experience, including hands‑on experience planning and conducting hazardous or critical operations

Required for Certain Job Profiles: Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10,001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification (obtained before onboarding), Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing, vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training. Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre‑employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical.
